Danville - Eileen Sutter passed away peacefully while her daughters were caring for her due to complications of Covid-19 on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living in Fishers, Indiana.

Eileen was born on March 13, 1931 in Streator, Illinois to John and Marie Krull of Minonk, Illinois who lived on the family farm. Eileen being the third of four daughters worked daily alongside her dad milking cows and continued to show interest in crop yields throughout her life. After graduating from high school, Eileen completed her registered nursing education at St. Francis College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois. She worked in various areas including the emergency room and medical/surgical nursing, and she bravely cared for ill patients during the polio epidemic.

She met "handsome" Don Sutter on a blind date arranged by her sister Audi in 1956, and they were married on January 19, 1957; they were able to celebrate sixty years of marriage prior to Don's passing. Eileen was very involved with raising her three children while being a homemaker for most of her life. Her sense of humor will long be remembered by family and friends. Eileen was a two-time cancer survivor, breast and lymphoma. She volunteered her time providing funeral lunches at St Pauls Church and delivering Meals on Wheels.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Don, her sisters, Jean Hock and Blanche Ruestman, and her parents, John and Marie Krull. Eileen is survived by her children Mary Beth Tripp (Scott), Fishers, Indiana, Phil Sutter (Cathy), Westfield, Indiana and Trisha Pasco (Kenny), Danville, Illinois, six grandchildren, David Sutter (Caroline), Chicago, Brian Sutter, Mobile, Alabama, Carolyn Eichmiller (Ben), Indianapolis, Jonathan Tripp, Fishers, Indiana, Sarah Mornout (Justin), Bismark, Illinois and Greyson Pasco (Madison) Danville, Illinois and five great grandchildren, Ellie, Kohltyn, Owen, Brody and Brycie. She is also survived by her sister Audi Rivard (Bill) of Gulfport, Florida.

A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM St Pauls Catholic Church 1303 Walnut Street in Danville, IL. Father Bowan Schmitt will officiate. A Public Chapel Committal Service will be at Noon on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park 3901 N. Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the services wear a mask and practice social distancing.
