Eileen M. Buyno

Eileen M. Buyno, 90, of Catlin, passed away at 10:51am, Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 23, 1927, in Champaign, IL, the daughter of Leo and Laura {Kleiss} Tempel. She was first married to Kenneth Ray "Bud" Guthrie on May 16, 1948 until his passing on April 2, 1962. She was later wed to Stanley Martin Buyno on August 12, 1972 in Georgetown until his passing on January 14, 2017.

Eileen leaves behind: her son, Russell (Jane) Guthrie; her daughters, Idrys Kay (Alan) Wynn & Claudia Guthrie-Weathers; her seven grandchildren; her 11 great grandchildren; her sisters, Shirley Morris & Ruth Overmyer; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joe & Ralph.

In her early years, she worked at Bailey & Hines in Champaign as a monogrammer. She enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church & St. Marys Church. She enjoyed cleaning houses, shopping, taking care of and playing with children. She loved being with her family and friends. Eileen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 15, 2018, at St. Marys Catholic Church, 231 N State St, Westville, with Father Saupp officiating. Visitation will be 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, December 14, 2018, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with a Rosary Service at 3:30pm. She will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in Eileens name to Carle Hospice Care.
