Eileen Iola Tyler, 93, of Bismarck, went to be with her Lord and joined her beloved husband at 1:05 a.m. Saturday, April 28th, 2012 at her home. Eileen was born on March 17th, 1919, in Potomac, the daughter of George W. and Maude O. (Landes) Dawes. She married Arnet Tyler on October 13th, 1940, in Henderson, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on February 19th, 1984. She is survived by two daughters- LaDonna (Daryl) Maskel of Sidell and Judy Isaacson of Branson, Missouri; four grandchildren- Laramie Bodine, Jody (Chris) Durbin, Richard (Tracy) Isaacson and Rory Smith; eight great-grandchildren- Jordan Durbin, Matthew Pitts, Malory Pitts, Christian Santos, Danny Smith, Riley O'Brien, Cameron O'Brien and Brandon; two great-great grandchildren- Carter Pitts and Sean Brewer; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-Arnet Frank Tyler Jr., four brothers and two sisters. Eileen graduated from Holiday Inn College in Olive Branch, Mississippi. She worked as a head housekeeper at Redwood Inn, Holiday Inn and later Turk Furniture, where she worked up until she was 91. Eileen attended church at Ridgeview Baptist Church, where she helped get memberships with Rev. Gordon Busey, where they had started at the Old Liberty School on Vermilion Street. She loved her family and enjoyed helping others. She also loved working in her yard and garden. People would drive miles to see their Christmas decorations. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She loved to share the Spirit of Christ and won the holiday trophy for their Christmas decorations. She loved spending time with her best buddy Judy's dog- LaTasha. A Celebration of the life of Eileen Iola Tyler will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3rd, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Bruce Parr and Craig Wilson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Potomac Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
