Kingman, Ind. -- Effie Laurie Stull, 86, formerly of Kingman, Indiana and a resident of The Waters of Covington, passed away at 6:40 a.m. EDT Saturday, June 5, 2010 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born February 4,1924 in Fithian, Illinois, the daughter of the late Mossie and Susie Button Thomason. She married Gilbert R. Stull on December 13, 1952 in West Lebanon, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 6,1976. Survivors: one daughter, Renee(Tim)Cornelius of Fishers, Indiana; one son, Raymond(Kennan)Stull of Kingman, Indiana; four grandchildren, Brandon, Brooke, Joseph and Eric; one sister, Kathryn Hayden of Springfield, Illinois; one brother, Milford Thomason of Danville,Illinois and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. During the 1970's Effie worked as a waitress at Green Acres Truck Stop south of Cayuga, Indiana. She was a member of the Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Indiana; Kingman American Legion Auxiliary Post #384; Knights of Pythias and the Rebecca Lodge of Kingman, Indiana. Effie was a 1942 graduate of Oakwood High School. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, being a homemaker and loving mother. Funeral services: 1 p.m. EDT Monday, June 7, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. William Lehman; Burial: Harveysburg Cemetery, Kingman, Indiana; Visitation: 10 a.m. EDT Monday, June 7, 2010 until time of services at the funeral home.
