Edwin Mcguire

Edwin McGuire, 71, of Danville, IL passed away at 4:25 PM on February 18, 2024 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL.

Ed was born on August 12, 1952 the son of Francis and Marjorie (Mallory) McGuire in Danville, IL.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Molly (Joseph) Sarther of Covington, IN, his son, Jeff (Jenny) McGuire of Fithian, IL, as well as his daughter-in-law, Kimberly Youhas and seven grandchildren, Jeffery, Alexis, Michael, Maya, Will, Maddox and Madelyn.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Corey McGuire.

Ed was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs, the Bears and the Illini. Most of all, Ed loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to all of the staff at Hawthorne Inn for taking such wonderful care of Ed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1949 N Bowman Ave, Danville, Illinois, 61832.

Memorials may be made in Eds memory to the Bismarck Mens Club.
