Edwin Adolph

GEORGETOWN - Edwin H. Adolph, 76, of Georgetown, passed away at 3:06am, Monday, January 16, 2006, at VA Illiana Healthcare Systems in Danville. He was born on November 30th, 1929, in Garrett Township, IL, the son of Leroy L. and Emma W. (Hansen) Adolph. He married Juanita Barger on July 13th, 1968, in Champaign, IL. She preceded him in death on November 3rd, 1997. Those who will miss him include: his son, Gary Petit of San Diego, CA; his two daughters, Theresa (Rick) Johnson of Georgetown and Sheila (Keith) Hughes of Bellbuckle, TN; his two stepsons, Brian (Connie) Cannon and Bill Cannon, both of Georgetown; his three grandchildren, Tina, Terri, and Leigha; his several great grandchildren; his good friends, Ruby Cannon and Grover Ericson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, one sister, an infant daughter, and one grandson. Edwin was a graduate of Champaign High School. He was a veteran with the US Army where achieved the rank of Corporal. He became a sponsor of wolves, repaired antique clocks, liked slot-car racing, doing photography and really enjoyed watching his T.V. and working on his computer. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30am January 20, 2006, at the First Church of Christ in Georgetown. Steve Rutter will officiate. A memorial Visitation will be from 10:30am to 11:30am also at the Church prior to service. He will be laid to rest, at a later date, at Cana Cemetery in Goreville, IL.
