Edward Sims

RIDGE FARM - Edward A. Sims, 78, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 7:15pm on Sunday, March 19th, 2006, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. He was born on January 27th, 1928, in Broadlands, IL, a son of Emmert A. and Lottie Ruth (Baker) Sims. He was united in marriage to Lela Sy on June 29th, 1947, in Tuscola, IL. She preceded him in death on December 10th, 1999. Those who survive Edward include: his sons, Martin Lee Sims of Lowell, IN, and Rick (Wendy) Sims of Georgetown; his daughter, Lori (Tim) Hollingsworth of Chrisman; his daughter-in-law, Debbie Sims of Georgetown; his ten grandchildren; and his twelve great-grandchildren. His parents, one sister-Evelyn Pearson, one son-Gary Sims, and one daughter-Mary Allhands, preceded him death. Edward retired from Teepak where he worked for many years. He enjoyed spending his time working on cars and he loved his dog. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 23rd, 2006 at Pilot Grove Cemetery in Ridge Farm. Rev. James Blue will officiate.
