Edward R. DeMoss, 60, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home in Danville. He was born on December 20, 1961 the son of William DeMoss and Carol (Feldman) DeMoss in Danville, IL. They precede him in death, along with a brother Michael DeMoss.

Ed leaves behind his wife, Cinthia Johnston; their dog children, Ruby and Blondie; siblings, Donald (Susan) DeMoss, Jennie (Raymond) Klavon, and Roger (Cindy) DeMoss; and numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews that he cherished.

Ed attended Danville High School and graduated in 1980, where he was the Spirit Viking. He served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne. He also served in the Air Force stationed at Chanute Air Force Base where he was a Civil Engineer Electrician. He later took a job at the Danville VA as an Electrician where he worked for 25+ years. Ed was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and metal detecting. Ed especially loved spending time with his wife and dogs. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and everybody was a friend to Ed.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Danville VA Chapel, building 49. Burial will follow in the Danville National Cemetery. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eds name to your local humane society.
