Edward Franklin Myers, 91, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Edward was born on October 11, 1934, in Clinton, Indiana, to Lawrence and Alice Myers (Dowers). On April 9, 1955, he married the love of his life, Norma Myers (Sherman). Together, they shared a remarkable legacy of 70 years of marriage, built on devotion, faith, and family.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Myers, along with his family, daughters Rhonda Tomlinson, Pam (Earl) Miller, Cindy (Mike) Davis, two sons Greg (Janet) and Jeff (Julie). 9 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 5 Extended Grandchildren and 9 Extended Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence, Alice Myers, brothers Eschol, Elvin, Harold, Kenny and sisters Ethel, Evelyn, Reva Mae and Edna Mary.
Edward had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He was a member of the Cayuga Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and playing the guitar. A devoted fan of college basketball, especially Indiana University. Edward loved to sing and play guitar at church, sharing his faith through music. He cherished spending time with his family, enjoyed gardening, and could often be found working in his garage.
Edward will be laid to rest at Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana, where he will be remembered for his spirit, strong work ethic, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
