Edward H. Bleveans, Jr., 80 of Danville passed away on December 28, 2015, at North Logan Health Care Center. Ed was born on September 1, 1935, in Danville to Edward and Angelita Bleveans, both who preceded him in death. His wife Florence Bleveans also preceded him in death. Surviving Ed are his daughters, Cheri (Sam) Stuart of Champaign and Lori Noyer of Carmel, Indiana, and his grandchildren, Brittney, Eric, Ashley and Stefanie Noyer. Also surviving Ed is his companion and former wife, Shirley Bleveans, and his brother Jake (Lu) Bleveans. His nephew, Lincoln (Merry) Bleveans, his niece, Melanie (David) Holm, and great nieces and nephews and cousins. Ed served his country in the Army Reserves. He graduated from General Motors Institute with a degree in Industrial engineering. He started his career at General Motors in Danville and the co-owned Circle Iron and Metal. He then worked for Mervis and retired at the age of 63. Ed was a member of St. James Methodist Church. He was very involved with the church, including having served as a trustee. He was a member of the Danville Boat Club, including having served as the Commodore. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, and his many friends. Ed also enjoyed boating and playing the piano. Visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home on Sunday January 3rd from 1pm until 5pm. Funeral services will be at St. James United Methodist Church on Monday January 4th at 10am. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery.
