Edward E. Houston

Edward E. Houston, 58, of Joliet formerly of Chicago, passed away on July 10, 2013 at Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Joliet, IL. He was born on October 6, 1954 in Chicago, the son of Edward and Norma (Garroutte) Houston. He is the beloved husband of Cindy Houston. She survives. Surviving him are his wife, one brother- Robert Houston of Ridgefarm, two sisters- Sue (Tom) Wood of Chicago, Stephanie Houston of Danville, one stepdaughter- Wendee (Robert) Gull of Joliet and one step granddaughter- Kyle Gull. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins all knowing him as Uncle Ed. He had one very special friend, his dog "Harley". Ed was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather- Russell Houston, one sister- Belinda Houston Canner and one dog "Smokey". He was born and raised in Chicago, IL and was a truck driver all his life. A Celebration of Ed's Life will be on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Atherton Cemetery in Danville, IL with Pastor Kenneth Jones officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 PM on Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Burial will be held at Atherton Cemetery.
