Edward E. Dulin

Edward E. Dulin, 86, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. He was born on August 20, 1934, in Whitestown, Indiana, the son of the late John D. and Stella (Page) Dulin. He married Norma J. (Jones) Dulin on June 20, 1954.

Ed leaves behind his wife, Norma, of 66 years; five children, Betsy (Doug) Swaney, Michigantown, IN, Susan (David) Stafford, Paris, IL, Charles (Jill) Dulin, Moweaqua, IL, Russell (Luana) Dulin, Lebanon, IN and John Dulin, Danville, IL; thirteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, with the fifteenth due in April 2021; 7 step-great-grandchildren; his sister Sally (Kent) Smith, Sharpsville, IN; and his brother, John M. Dulin, Leesburg, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-great-grandson.

Ed was born in a farmhouse in Whitestown, Indiana. He graduated from Whitestown High School in 1953 and married his high school sweetheart, Norma, in 1954. He worked on the family farm, for Shell Oil Co. and Larr Equipment before starting his career selling seedcorn for various companies, retiring from AgriGold in 2014 at the age of 80. He was active in his church serving as Deacon, usher and greeter. Ed also was a 4-H leader and refereed basketball. He was dedicated to his wife of 66 years and his children and was proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ed never knew a stranger, would help anyone in need, and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed collecting agribusiness items and especially liked Farmall tractors. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed lemon custard from the Custard Cup. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana, 420 3rd St., Covington, Indiana, 47932, has been entrusted with arrangements. A private family service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. EST at Mts. Runn Cemetery in Zionsville, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made in Edwards name to the charity of your choice.
