Edna P. Woodard

Cayuga, Ind. -- Edna P. Woodard, 51, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 6:08 p.m. EDT Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at West Central Community Hospital in Clinton, Indiana. She was born July 25, 1956 in Clinton, Indiana, the daughter of Franklin D. and Rose L. Steeples Freed. She married Paul "Cork" Woodard on June 7, 1975 in Cayuga, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Paul(Kelly)Hamilton of Perrysville, Indiana and Charles Woodard of Cayuga, Indiana; her mother, Rose Freed of Cayuga, Indiana; three granddaughters, Hailey, Colby and Taylor Hamilton; three sisters, Evelyn Freed and Penny(Steve)Watkins both of Cayuga, Indiana; Sheryl Richards of Georgetown, Illinois; two brothers, Dale(Loretta)Freed of Cayuga, Indiana and John(Dawn)Freed of Covington, Indiana; several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; one daughter, Amy L. Woodard and one sister, June Ellen Freed. Edna was a cook at the Covered Bridge Restaurant in Eugene, Indiana. She attended the Mission #11 Church in the Horseshoe Community (Dana, Indiana). Edna was a 1975 graduate of North Vermillion High School. She enjoyed raising flowers, cooking and helping people. She formerly helped with the Cayuga Little League. Funeral services: Noon EDT Saturday, April 26, 2008 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev.
