Edna M. ODonnell, 88, of Danville, died at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 14, 2006 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born September 10, 1917 in Latham, IL the daughter of Virgil E. and Faye (Allison) Boyer. She married Frank Paul Murphy on January 30, 1937 in Terre Haute. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1946. She married Clarence W. ODonnell on July 1, 1950 in Danville. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1982. Edna is survived by two sons: Virgil (Margaret) Murphy of Danville, Paul (Mary Jo) Murphy of Tilton; three daughters: Janet (Darnell) Gibson of Florida, Ruth (Joe) Tevebaugh of Danville, Edna (Steve) Handzel of Danville; two sisters: Dorothy Carpenter of Danville, Jeanie (Melvin) Pierson of Mississippi; two sisters in law: Margaret Boyer of Jamestown, IN, Catherine Boyer of Florida; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and all of her friends at Vermilion House. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: William, George, David, and Gerald Boyer; one sister: Marjorie Saikley and one granddaughter: Lori Murphy. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Edna worked For GE in Danville for ten years and also worked with her husband doing porter work for some local businesses. She enjoyed playing bingo and euchre. Edna loved doing puzzle books and was an avid Cubs fan. She lived for her children, they were everything to her. Edna was a member of the Lincoln Methodist Church.
