Edna Fransisca Pelman Mickey, 90, of Champaign passed away on January 5, 2011 at her residence with her family at her side. Edna was born on August 1, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas daughter of William and Anna Pelman. She was orphaned as a child and was raised at Moosehart in St. Charles, Illinois. She married Robert Mickey on September 28, 1952 in Champaign, Illinois. He survives along with two daughters: Kittie Moll and Kay Harley both of Champaign, IL; sister Willanna Calissi of Mattoon, IL, brother Francis Pelman of St. Charles, IL; sisters in law Rozie Pelman of St. Charles, IL and Margaret Pelman of Westville, IL; caregivers: Mary Alice Morgan, Rachel Ochs, Lorena Redd, and Erica Dawkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Pelman, and sister Marian Warquier. Edna worked as a secretary at Hyster and Girl Scouts in Danville. She was co-owner of PDQ Mimeographing until retiring in 1982 and selling the business. She enjoyed oil painting, needlework, doing crafts, and loved her cats & dogs. A Celebration of Ednas Life will be held privately on Friday at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville. Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home will be handling the arrangements. The family has requested no flowers, please make contributions in Ednas name to Danville United Church of Christ or Alzheimers Association.
