Edna Loraine Dines

Edna Loraine Dines, 65, of Danville, IL., passed away Monday, November 21, 2023, at her home.

She was born February 21, 1958, in Danville, IL., daughter of the late George and Leona (Rogers) Jacks.

Edna married William Dines on February 14, 1989, in Danville, IL., and he survives.

Other survivors include her two daughters: Michelle Richter of Bismarck, IL., and Melissa McGuire of Danville, IL; her grandchildren: Erik Richter, Jeffery McGuire, Alexis McGuire, Ace McGuire and Zella Jacks; one great-grandchild: Braylon; and her beloved dog "Diamond."

Edna was preceded in death by one brother: George Jacks and one sister: Laura Bailey.

Edna lived by the rule "work hard play harder." She spent her professional years as a Facility Revenue Technician at the Veterans Administration in Danville before her retirement. When she was not at work, she was always on the go. She loved taking her family on trips to Florida, Las Vegas, Aruba, Mexico and Saint Maarten. When she was able, she loved to hit the open road on motorcycle rides. Above all, Edna loved spending time with those she loved the most, especially her granddaughter.

Per her wishes, there will be no services for Edna. Cremation has been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834.
