Edna I. Miller

Edna I. Miller, 91, of Georgetown, passed away on September 6, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born on December 19, 1923, the daughter of Hubert and Charlotte {Spitzmesser} Wax. She was united in marriage to George M. Miller on September 15, 1944, in Danville, until his passing on April 10, 1989. They were married for 45 years. She will be missed by: her children, Kenneth (Darlene) Miller of Cayuga, IN, Dee Anna (Richard) Brickel of Bryan, OH, Curtis (Lana) Miller of Georgetown, Stephan Miller of Champaign, Cathy (Phil) Brookshier of Indianola, Marian Klink of Fort Myers, FL, Gail (Steve) Tovey of Georgetown, & Jeff Miller of Georgetown; special friend, Paul Bover of Champaign; her 16 grandchildren; her 19 great grandchildren; her sister, Wilmetta Feezor of Indianola; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Edna was a lifetime member of the Georgetown Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her greatest joy was taking care of her loving family and being surrounded by them and friends. She was a very loving person who saw the best in everyone she met. Edna always enjoyed celebrating birthdays and anniversaries with friends and family. A special thank you to Community Care of Vermilion County for the care they showed our Mother. A celebration of Edna's life will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, September 11, 2015, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 11am to 1pm on Friday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
