Edith L. 'Bonnie' Ross

Tilton- Edith L. Bonnie Ross, 87, of Tilton passed away at 7:04 AM on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on May 29, 1924 in Fithian to Winnie and Pearl Morris Charles. She married Billy W. Ross on September 14, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2001. She is survived by 7 children, Billie Jo Cunningham of Danville, Marilyn (Mel) Sneed of Veedersburg, IN, Larry (Brenda) Ross of Danville, Jack (Sue) Ross of Danville, Gene (Tanya) Ross of Tilton, Janet (Raymond) Rojas of Lakeland, FL, and Debbie (Jim) Lappin of Danville; sister Delores Engle of Danville; 3 sisters-in-law, Wanda Mascari, Lucille Zotz, and Linda Gowens; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and sisters, and granddaughter Tami Erwin. Bonnie was a homemaker, spending her time caring for her family. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan. A service to celebrate the life of Edith Bonnie Ross will be held at 2 PM on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Pastor Dan Michael will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12-2 PM prior to the services at the funeral home.
