Eddie Lee Pearman

Newport, Ind. - Eddie Lee Pearman, 70, of Newport, passed away at 9:15 a.m. EDT Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his residence.

He was born March 29, 1951 in Hillsdale, Indiana the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Short) Pearman.

Eddie married Donna Keen on February 13, 1970 in Montezuma, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include his children: Edward Pearman of Newport, Indiana; Angela (Ron) Dunavan of Cayuga, Indiana; Tammy (Jeff) Steinbrenner of Newport, Indiana and Jamie (Tim) Wood of Cayuga, Indiana; his mother: Dorothy Pearman of Hillsdale, Indiana; seven grandchildren: R.J., Jacob (Michaela), James (Katelyn), Jenifer (De'Jay), Ashton, Timmy and Gracie; five sisters: Pam Todd of Montezuma, Indiana; Cindy (Mark) Condit of Strawberry, Arizona; Velma (Bill) Leach and Kay Pearman both of Hillsdale, Indiana, and Mary (Elwood) Delp of Montezuma, Indiana; two brothers: Joe Pearman of Attica, Indiana and Rick (Sandi) Keen of Eugene, Indiana.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father: Joseph Pearman; mother-in-law: Betty Keen; daughter-in-law: Lisa Pearman, and special brother-in-law: Kevie Todd.

Eddie formerly worked at the Vermillion County Highway Department and at R.F. Thompson Grain in Cayuga for 35 years.

Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, May 15, 2021 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Keith McIntyre; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: 11 a.m. EDT Saturday, May 15, 2021 until time of services at the funeral home with memorial services by the Cayuga Volunteer Fire Department beginning at 2 p.m. EDT.
