Eda Becker

Eda A. Becker, 85, of Danville passed away at 3:45 PM on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Presence USMC, Danville. She was born on August 12, 1930 in Danville to Harold and Katherine (Grebe) Drews. She was united in marriage to Roy Becker on June 26, 1949, until his passing on December 31, 2003. She will be missed by: two daughters, Elizebeth (Billy) Martin & Katherine (Steve) Brown; one sister Ann (Reynold) Kunz; three grandchildren, Michelle Martin, April Brown, & Dawn Brown; two great-grandchildren, Zachary (Desi) Martin & Tyler Pasley; two great great-grandchildren, Nicholas & Lucus Martin; with many nieces and nephews also surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roy. Eda was a cook at Danville Lutheran School for 33 years and she was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was also involved in the Choir and the Quilting Group. She loved to read her bible daily. She was loved square dancing with her husband and also loved listening Lawrence Welk. Eda never missed her shows on TV and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Eda loved all of her grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids. A Celebration of Life for Eda will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with a visitation an hour Prior to the service with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday May 13, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Danville. She will be laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery in Danville.
