Cayuga, Ind. - Earl L. Wilson, 87, of Cayuga, passed away at 8:04 a.m. EDT Monday, July 29, 2019 at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana.

He was born April 22, 1932 in Georgetown, Illinois the son of the late Benjamin Pleas and Grace Bell (Shannon) Wilson.

Earl married Beverly L. Bailey on June 2,1956 in Georgetown, Illinois. She preceded him in death on April 25, 2002.

Surviving are his children: Wesley (Rebecca) Wilson of Newport, Indiana; Brenda (John McCool) Hinkle of Kingman, Indiana; Rick Wilson of Cayuga, Indiana; Wanda Craft of Kingman, Indiana; Raymond (Joan) Wilson of Woodland, California and Rebecca (Tim Duncan) Colson of Kingman, Indiana; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by 21 sisters and brothers.

Earl retired from General Motors in Tilton, Illinois on July 1, 1992. He was a member of the Cayuga American Legion Post 263. Earl enjoyed drawing, playing his harmonica and telling jokes.

Inurnment with military honors will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. CDT at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. Following services at the cemetery a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Cayuga American Legion beginning at 4 p.m. EDT. Contributions may be made to the Cayuga American Legion Post 263, 904 West Ferry Street, Cayuga, Indiana 47928. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
