Earl Hood

Earl Robert Hood, 53, of Danville, passed away on Wednesday March 1, 2017 at his home. Earl had been fighting cancer for several months. He was born August 31,1963 in Danville to Earl Hood and Rosemary Songer, both of Tilton. He is survived by his mother; Rosemary Songer, 3 brothers; Orval Meeker, Timothy Hood, and Brian Bird, 1 sister; Rosemary Hardesty, 4 daughters; Ashley Hunt (Chris Mau), Brittany Richardson (Sean Richardson), Courtney Wheeler (Mikey Wheeler), and Rebecca Hood (Travis Follett), and 11 grandchildren. Earl was a truck driver, ran his own construction business, and was a musician. He loved to be outdoors and spend time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville on Sunday March 12, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. followed by his funeral on March 13,2017 at 10 a.m. where he will be laid to rest with family at Greenwood Cemetery in Tilton.
