Earl Drake

Earl Drake, 77, of Westville, passed away at his home on Friday September 17, 2021. Earl was born on February 2, 1944 in Pana, IL, the son of Clarence and Charlotte (Silberer) Drake. Earl married Margerie Reddy on May 27, 1998. She survives.

Also surviving Earl are his children; Deanna Drake, Sheri (Chris) Johnston, Jamie Lewis, Melissa Drake, John (Sue) Edwards, Michael (Brandi) Edwards and Billie (David) Casillas, grandchildren; Mitchell Drake, Christina (Fianc Bill) Johnston, Alfred (Brandie) Lewis, Jordan (Fianc Alice) Lewis, Ashlee Johnston, Erika Johnston, Bryce (Breanna) Sparger, Shayla Sparger, Jami (John) Brashear, Jessica Edwards, Sophia Casillas and Jacob Casillas, several loving great grandchildren; a "brother from another mother" Fred Reddy, special cousin Shirley Davis and two great golf buddies Dan Collum and Tony Acquino.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Karen Dines who he married in 1963 and several siblings, including Clarence William Drake.

Earl retired from Lafayette Indiana Fire Department after 25 years of Service. He then went to work at Lafayette Glass. Earl was an avid golfer and a member of Catlin Lions Club. He enjoyed wood working in his garage and "karaoke at The Pub". Earl enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends. He will be missed by all that got to know him.

A Celebration of Earls life will be held at 7 pm on September 23, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center Westville, 414 South State Street Westville, Illinois 61883. A visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday September 23, 2021 3-7 pm. Memorials may be made in Earls name to Riley Childrens Foundation.
