E. Lorene Luce

E. Lorene Luce, a dedicated and cherished individual, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, in Fayetteville, GA, at the age of 91. Born on January 16, 1934, in Georgetown, IL, Lorene lived a life characterized by hard work, love, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Throughout her enriching career, Lorene exemplified the true meaning of diligence. A hard worker, she always maintained two jobs, embodying the spirit of perseverance and determination that inspired those around her. Her decades-long service as a civil servant for over 30 years reflected not only her dedication to her profession but also her deep-rooted desire to contribute positively to society.

Lorene was a proud member of the Eastern Star, where she embraced the values of community service and fellowship. Her life's legacy is beautifully complemented by her affection for animals, particularly her beloved dogs, Ricky, Casey, and Mr. Dickens, who brought her immense joy and companionship. A woman of many interests, Lorene found happiness in the tranquility of doves and the beauty of lighthouses. These passions painted her life with serenity and wonder, serving as reminders of her gentle spirit.

Lorene leaves behind her cherished children, Doug (Meredith) Luce, Donna Pratt, Sandy (Scott) Peterson, and Amy Kinnett, who carry forward her legacy of love and resilience. She takes pride in being the matriarch of a large family, with ## grandchildren, ## great-grandchildren, and ## great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to receive her warmth and guidance. In addition to her extensive family, Lorene is survived by her brothers, Harvey Robertson, Claude Robertson, and Leo Robertson, with whom she shared countless memories and laughter.

Lorene is now reunited with her parents and her dearly departed siblings—brothers Herman Robertson and Lawrence Robertson, as well as sisters Mary Adams, Alberta, and Josephine. Along with her beloved grandchildren, Hershel and Penny, who surely remain in her heart.
