Dustin Thompson

Dustin Thompson, 24, of Danville, passed away at 3:30am, Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at his home. He was born on March 3, 1997, in Danville the son of Dale E. and Samantha K. {McGraugh}Thompson. He is survived by his mother, Samantha (Greg) Hoskins of Westville; his daughter, Leila Elizabeth Thompson; his siblings, Stephen (David) Miller, Darla (Jesus) Dominguez, Stephanie Stephens, Dayna (Robert) Bialecki, & Jennifer (Jacob) Thompson; his bonus siblings, Carlee Hoskins, Cameren Neulman, Alysha and Daniel Carlock; his grandparents, Robert (Fran) McGraugh, Colleen McGraugh, and Ray & Shirley Thompson; his nephews, Kaeden, Alexander, Jose, Declan, and Matthew; his niece, Vaneshia; his aunt Beth McGraugh, he was the 'favorite nephew' of his aunt Betty Meeker and was great friends with his cousin, Clay Thompson. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale. He has some very special people in his life, Bill Clippenger, the Archie Quick family, several lifetime friends, and his honorary brothers, Billy Schlunaker, Lam Tran, and Stephen Strain. Dustin enjoyed working on cars, going fishing, and being outside. He was known to love a cold beer in his hand at the end of a long day. He will be eternally missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Dustins life will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, May 7, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883 with Pastor Gary Farris officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, Danville, IL. Dustin would not want anyone to dress up, so its okay to dress casually. It is kindly requested that face masks be worn, and social distancing is practiced by attendees.
