WESTVILLE - Duane G. Lutchka, Big D, 71, of Westville, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father at 1:59pm, Tuesday, February 13th, 2007, at Provena USMC in Danville. He was born on November 23rd, 1935, the son of Anthony and Helen (Strako) Lutchka in Westville, IL. He was united in marriage to Marian Kotcher on October 25th, 1958, at St. Isaacs Jogues Parish in Georgetown. Duane had 48 years of marriage to his wife, Marian, who will miss him dearly. He was affectionately known as Big D to everyone. He was a graduate of Westville High School Class of 1955. He served 2 years in the US Army. He retired from Hyster in 1998 after 42 years of service and was a member of the ILTBU. He was a member of St. Marys Church. Duane enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, playing cards, grilling, & mushrooming. He cherished his time spent with his family. His sense of humor will not be forgotten and he was loved by many. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Those close to Duane who will miss him include: his sons, Duane A. Lutchka of Westville, David (Cindy) Lutchka of Danville, Daniel (Denise) Lutchka of Carbondale, IL, & Douglas Lutchka of Oakwood; his daughters, Dianne (Don) Lauterjung of Ottawa, IL & Darlene (Aaron) Workman of Carbondale, IL; his grandchildren, Kristen Wallace, Dustin Lutchka, Sarah Lutchka, Nicole Lutchka, Daniel Lutchka, Delayna Lutchka, David Andrew Lutchka, & Autumn Lutchka; his great grandchild, Nolan Wallace; his step-grandson, Aaron Carson; his step-great grandchildren, Amber Carson, Elizabeth Carson, & Erin Carson; his brothers, Joseph (Mary) Lutchka of Westville & Anthony (Linda) Lutchka of Westville; and his sister, Debbie (Bruce) Anderson of Williamsport, IN. Duane was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-Philip Lutchka. A celebration of Duanes life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 17th, 2007, at St. Marys Church of Westville. Father John Paninski will officiate the service. A visitation is scheduled for 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, February 16th, 2007, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL. A Rosary will be held at 7:30pm. He will be laid to rest in St. Peter & Pauls Cemetery. Memorial may be given in Duanes name to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society.
