Newport, Ind. - Douglas Loy McIntosh, 57, of Newport passed away at 4:10 p.m. EST Thursday, November 7, 2019 in Rosedale, Indiana.

He was born April 25, 1962 in Danville, Illinois the son of Diane (McMillian) McIntosh and Larry McIntosh.

Doug married Deborah Mattes on April 7, 1995 in Danville, Illinois. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughter: Aimee Brink of Cayuga, Indiana; two granddaughters: Cheyenne Walters and Alexis Brink; his father: Larry (Donna) McIntosh of Perrysville, Indiana; three sisters: Paige (Nick) Kilgore of Newport, Indiana; Jamie (Dan) Noble of Covington, Indiana and Michael Cooper of Chicago, Illinois, and two brothers: Shane McIntosh of Newport, Indiana and David McIntosh of Monticello, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane McIntosh.

Doug was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a 1980 graduate of North Vermillion High School. Doug enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, cooking, helping people and spending time with his granddaughters.

Graveside services and burial with military honors: Friday, November 15, 2019 at 1 p.m. (Illinois Time) at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois; Officiating: Dr. Kim Kraemer; Visitation: Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. (Indiana Time) at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana.
