Douglas 'Buzz' Bussard

Douglas Buzz Allen Bussard, 48, of St. Joseph, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Douglas was born on May 18, 1957 in Danville, the son of Everett Bud and Pat (Cler) Bussard. He married Karla Lewis on July 3, 1984 in Danville. She survives. He is survived by his wife- Karla Bussard of St. Joseph; parents- Everett and Pat Bussard of Potomac; one brother- Scott (Sheree) Bussard of Armstrong, Illinois; two sisters- Vicki (Jeff) Parkerson of Rantoul, Illinois and Lynn (Dale) Huffman of Urbana, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Douglas graduated from Potomac High School in 1975. He worked at Heatcraft from 1987 until June of 2005. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville. He was also a member of Local Laborers #703 in Danville. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Illini and Bears fan. A celebration of the life of Douglas Buzz Allen Bussard will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville, with Rev Dave Garver officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Ridgeview Baptist Church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
