Cayuga, Ind. - Dosia B. "Dodie" Kell, 99, of Cayuga, passed away at 1:10 a.m. EST Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana. She was born March 3, 1912 near Snoddy's Mill south of Covington, Indiana, the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Leona Vanicka Snoddy. She married Forrest "Bus" Kell on April 9, 1938 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1990. Survivors include her niece, Janice(William)Lynch of Zephyrhills, Florida; nephew, David(Charlene)Dunham of Cayuga, Indiana; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Vernon Snoddy and a nephew, Larry Snoddy. Dodie was a graduate of Modern Way Beauty School in Clinton, Indiana. She was a member of the Eugene United Methodist Church, Methodist Women's Club and the Perrysville Homemaker's Club (50 year pin). Dodie was a 1930 graduate of Perrysville High School. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and raising flowers. Dodie was very humble. Not one person in her life was untouched by her wit, compassion, kindness, her love and enjoyment of life. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EST Friday, January 20, 2012 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jon Overbey; Burial: Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 10 a.m. EST Friday, January 20, 2012 until time of services at the funeral home.
