Dortha Mae Line, 91, of Fincastle, VA, formerly Danville, IL passed away at Kissito Healthcare Brian Center Botetourt, Fincastle on April 30, 2016. Dortha was born the daughter of Forest and Ada (Campbell) Johnson on January 19, 1925 in Vermillion County. Dortha married William A. Line on October 28, 1945, he precedes her in death. Surviving Dortha is sister Julia Josephine Test (Line), daughter Nancy E. Fuller (Line), seven grandchildren; Nancy J. (Keith) Spriestersbach, Paul E. Burow Jr., John W. (Audra) Burow, Nick M. (Tracy) Fuller, Brian E. (Pia) Fuller and Andrew M. Fuller, sixteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Dortha is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Carolyn Johnson, one son David M. Line and one daughter Linda C. Burow and one grandson Bill R. Fuller. Dortha was an adventurous person. She loved traveling and camping with her family. Dortha worked as a lineworker at General Electric from 1958 to 1972 and in her free time enjoyed sewing and creating floral arrangements. After leaving General Electric Dortha spent the next ten years cooking for the children at 1st Baptist School. She was a member of the Red Hat Society along with her daughter Nancy as well as an avid member of the 1st Baptist Church of Danville where she has attended since May of 1951 before moving to Virginia. A graveside service will be held for Dortha on May 5, 2016 at 10:30am at Johnson Cemetery in Danville, IL with pastor Paul Rebert officiating.
