Dortha L. Troxel

GEORGETOWN- Dortha L. Troxel, 83, of Homewood, IL, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 5:18pm Friday, January 28th, 2005, at the St. James Hospice Center in Chicago Heights, IL. She was born on September 11th, 1921, the daughter of John T. and Harriet (Phillips) Williford. After her youth Dortha was united in marriage to the late John T. Troxel on March 2nd, 1952, in Georgetown, he preceded her in death in June of 1991. The following family members that will deeply miss Dortha include: her daughter, Evelyn (Gerard) Jungheim of Homewood, IL; her sister, Lorene Harbor of Marshall, IL; her four grandchildren, Lora (Bob) Grabowski of Homewood, IL, Sandra (George) Gorski also of Homewood, IL, Susan (Ed) Colon of Elmwood Park, IL, and Lisa Hayes of Denver, CO; her five great-grandchildren, Joshua Gorski, Kyle Olitta, Matthew Grabowski, Caitlin Grabowski and Christian Colon; her two step-grandchildren, David and Robert Derengowski. She always remembered her special friend, Nellie Harrold. Dortha is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ira, Bill, and Robert Williford, as well as an infant son, Carle Wayne. In her employment years, Dortha was a factory employee at the Scholle Corp. for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the harmonica, singing, reading and spending time will family and friends.
