Dorothy Youhas

Dorothy Youhas, 80, of Westville passed away at 1:20 a.m. Sunday August 28, 2011 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born on November 3, 1930 in Nottingham, England the daughter of William and Violet Sharp. She married George Youhas on April 21, 1956 in Nottingham, England. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2010. Survivors include her children, Colleen Youhas, Sharon Wolfe, Terri (Rick) Nixon, & Gary Youhas of Champaign; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chris Smith) Wolfe, Matthew (Neda) Wolfe, James (Jill) McDaniel, & Bryan Youhas; her great grandchildren, Malia & Brayden Wolfe, Kaden McDaniel, & Brysen Thurston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant daughters, Keri Marie and Sheryl Ann. Dorothy was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading. Dorothy was an animal lover and loved feeding the birds and squirrels. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 31, 2011 at St. Mary's Church, Westville. Father Timothy Sauppe will officiate. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday August 30, 2001 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home with a rosary at 4:30 p.m.. She will be laid to rest in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's name to St. Mary's Church.
