Dorothy Sessions

Dorothy Sessions, 85, of Indianola, passed away at 5:00pm, Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman. She was born on October 7, 1926, in Tangier, IN, the daughter of Jay and Dorothy {Hobson} Scott, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Estel Sessions on June 9, 1955, until his passing. She is survived by: her son, Mike (Cally) Tramte of Terre Haute, IN; her daughters, Sandra Kaye (John) Kirschner of Indianola, Donna Muirhead of Port Richey, FL, & Linda Shimkus of Winfield, IL; her grandchildren, Brian Kirschner, Chris Kirschner, Joel Tramte, Bethany Stanley, & Amy Muirhead; her great grandchildren, Sydney Kirschner, Neil Kirschner, & Dylan Kirschner; her sisters, Peggy Eppert of Tangier, IN, & Myrna Eppert of Bloomingdale, IN. She was preceded in death by: her brothers, Orville & Kenny, and her sister, Doris Toots' Neuman. Dorothy attended the Indianola Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, going to garage sales, & collecting old glass ware. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Chapel, Georgetown, with George Desmond officiating. Visitation will be 3pm-7pm, Friday, February 24, 2012, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola. Memorials may be given in her name to Indianola Methodist Church or Pleasant Meadows Christian Village.
