Dorothy N. Middlemas

Dorothy N. Middlemas, 93, of Georgetown, passed away at 2:24pm, Tuesday, July 1st, 2008, at The Waters of Covington. She was born on June 28th, 1915, in Westville, IL, the daughter of Elza and Savanna (Stevens) Brooks, both deceased. On August 25th, 1933, in Clinton, IL, she was united in marriage to Ralph Radio Middlemas until he passed on November 12th, 1972. Those who will miss her include: her daughters, Sally (Bill) Crawford of Danville, Judy (Jim) Mariage of Westville, & Nancy (Ken) Koehn of Normal; her eleven grandchildren; her twenty great grandchildren; and her one great-great grandchild. Her parents, her son, Larry Middlemas, her brother, Bill Brooks, and her sister, Alberta Tidrow, preceded her death. She had worked for General Electric of Danville for several years. She was a member of First Church of Christ in Georgetown. She was an avid Euchre player and liked doing needlework & crafts. She enjoyed flower gardening and going shopping. A celebration of Dorothys life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, July 5th, 2008, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. Steve Rutter will officiate. Visitation will be held from Noon to 2pm on Saturday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be given in Dorothys name to the First Church of Christ, 503 N Main St, Georgetown.
