Dorothy Myers

Dorothy Myers, 89, of Cayuga, passed away at her home on Saturday March 23, 2024. Dorothy was born in Vermillion County Indiana, the daughter of Hershel and Ruth (Murdock) Sherman on July 29, 1934. Dorothy married Marvin Dowers until his passing in April of 1956. She later married Kenneth Myers until his passing in August of 2015.

Dorothy leaves behind her daughters; Victoria (James) Payne, Kimberly (Joe) Cardwell, and Karen (Jay) Bumpus, her twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren, one brother; Norman (Susan) Sherman, and one sister; Norma (Ed) Myers.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one daughter Deborah Mahoney, and a grandson Zachary Bumpus.

Dorothy worked as a LPN and was always helping people around town with their illness, rather changing a bandage or helping with a shot, she loved to help people. She enjoyed fill in books, sewing, crocheting, and going camping. Most of all Dorothy loved the time she got to spend with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, she will be missed by all.
