Dorothy M. Thomas

Dorothy M. Thomas, 79, of Tilton passed away at 2:05 a.m. Saturday September 22, 2007 at her daughters home. She was born on January 12, 1928 in Danville, IL the daughter of Henry C. and Edith J. Johnson Britton. She married Jack A. Thomas Sr. on June 7, 1946 in Danville, IL. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2007. Survivors include her two daughters, Shirley (Butch) Meeker of Danville and Vicky Milewski of Tilton; her son Jack (Nancy) Thomas Jr. of Danville; her brother, Jim (Eleanor) Britton of Danville; her sister, Judy Hill of NC; her grandchildren, Ron (Sydney) Weddle Jr. of Oakwood, Wendy Weddle of Danville, Jodi (Kurt Hooks) Meeker Milewski of Danville, DJ Meeker Milewski of AZ, Lexi Thomas of Bismarck, Dani and Carrie Cunningham, both of Danville and Blake Cunningham of Bloomington, IL, Vanessa Bay of Bismarck, Amy (Owen) Mockbee of Hoopeston, Jeannie (Gene) Glines of Potomac, and Kelly Meeker of Oakwood; her great grandchildren, J.S., Paige, Kylie, Kourtney, Zach, Justin, Kelsey Jeremy, Mike, Jessie, Nikki, Katie, Casey, Noah, John, Jacob, Devin, Caleb, Chance, Dalton, and Dallas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Henrietta Morgan, Frank Britton, Claudia Hatton, and Sherry Romine, and her son-in-law, John Milewski. Dorothy liked watching Illinois basketball. She enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. She especially enjoyed her grandkids. A celebration of Dorothys life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel 414 S. State St, Westville. Officiating: Wade Martin and Raymie Gordon Visitation will be 4p-7p on Monday September 24, 2007 at the funeral home.
