Dorothy M. Keller

Covington, IN- Dorothy Mae Keller, 84, of Covington, IN, passed away at 1:42 PM on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born on May 15, 1929 in Danville to I. Cecil and Mildred M. Shoaf Adams. She married LeRoy Keller on February, 20 1949 in State Line. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Reifsteck of Danville, IL; a son, Neil (Renee) Keller of Covington, IN; two sisters, Doris (Bob) Gross of Covington, IN and Betty Minser of Muncie, IL; four grandchildren, Kimberli (Travis) Clarke of San Bernadino, CA, Stephanie (Jeremy) Boggess of West Lafayette, IN, Nicole (Mark) Solimini of Boston, MA, and Adam (Kristina) Collins of Washington, IL; seven great-grandchildren, Calix Clarke, Andrew, Noah, and Ben Boggess, Mason and Tyler Solimini, and Jackson Collins; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dwayne Keller, and a brother, Richard Adams. Dorothy grew up on a farm near State Line, IN and was a graduate of Covington High School. She had worked in Dietetics at the VA in Danville until her retirement. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Cubs, but also loved to watch Purdue basketball and the Pacers. Dorothy also enjoyed music, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and playing Sequence with her friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and cooking for big family meals. A service to celebrate the life of Dorothy Keller will be held at 11 AM EST on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Sunsets Covington Chapel, A Life Celebration Home in Covington, IN. Pastor Patti Wise will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington. Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM EST on Monday, January 13, also at Sunsets Covington Chapel.
