Bismarck - Dorothy Louise Pepper, 95, of Bismarck passed away peacefully on March 30, 2015 at 10:35 a.m. at Hawthorne Inn of Danville. Dorothy was born the daughter of Glenn and Rhoda Strong on September 4, 1919 in Homer, Illinois. Dorothy was married to Guy Warren on July 5, 1942 in Homer, Illinois, he passed away in January of 1954. In 1958 she married Wayne Goodall, he precedes her in death having passed in June of 1966. Years later Dorothy married Merle Pepper who passed in November of 2012. Dorothy is survived by her daughters Marlene (Larry) Harper of Georgetown, Donna Grubb of Union Missouri, and Sharon (Mike) Packard of Bismarck; her grandchildren Larry W. (Gina) Harper, Denise Shepard, Michael (Brandy) Harper, Greg (Jennifer) Grubb, Susan (Darren) Lammert, Michael (Missy) Packard, Laura (Andrew) Woodason; nephew Donnie Strong; great-grandchildren Halie, Gaige, Marlee, Elias, Eva, Shyan, Sierra, Tray, Logan, Clayton, Autumn, Madison, Landen, Loghan, and Connor. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Rhoda, her husbands Guy Warren, Wayne Goodall, and Merle Pepper, son-in-law Jerry Grubb, her brother Donald Strong and beloved sister-in-law Alta Strong. Dorothy was the epitome of a family woman. She made time for all of her daughters and their children. Whether it was a shopping trip, going to graduation at the Great Lakes Naval Base or in Savannah Georgia, or being the biggest cheerleader at her grandchildrens games, she always made the time. She was also known for her love of cooking big holiday meals, shoe shopping, dining out, and traveling. For many years, she took an annual trip to Branson to see the Presely show and the Baldknobbers Jamboree. From Hawaii to Germany, she was always willing to travel and experience new things. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a life celebration home in Danville. Services will be officiated by Pastor Drew Mentzer. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a burial to follow at Walnut Corner Cemetery.
