Dorothy I Collins

Dorothy I. Collins, 84, of Westville, passed away Sunday January 23, 2011 at her home. She was born on June 6, 1926 in Indianola, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Louella (White) High. She married Gus Setser in 1942, and later married Gerald Collins on November 29, 1968 in Danville, IL. He preceded her in death in 1988. Survivors include her sons, Bruce (Robin) Setser of Vincennes, IN and Dennis (Melinda) Setser of Vincennes, IN; her daughter, Rebecca (Tim) Bonebrake of Westville; her brother Cleve High of Indianola and sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; special friends, Phil and Polly Hawley of Westville and Michelle Taylor of Princeton, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Susan Decker, three sisters, and three brothers. Dorothy worked at Continental Filling from 1963-1973. She enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms, and working in her yard. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 pm Wednesday January 26, 2011 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home. Pastor James Blue will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm. Wednesday before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Faith Church of Christ in Danville.
