DANVILLE- Dorothy Jane Henley, 86, of Danville passed away at 4:20am on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the Hawthorn Inn in Danville. She was born on June 21, 1921, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Andrew and Lillian Cochran Lackey. Both deceased. On November 20, 1940, Dorothy married John R. Henley in Kansas City, Mo. He survives along with their two daughters: Jolene (Louis) Molnar of Aurora, IL, and Janice Rasmussen of West Dundee, Il. Three grandchildren; Jacie (Todd) Brandes of Wilmette, IL, Jud (Kelly) Rasmussen of Mukwonago, WI, and Julia (Dan) ODonnell of Madison, WI. two step-grandchildren; Stephanie Molnar of Dexter, Ky, and Bradley Molnar of Batavia, Il, and six great-grandchildren; Joseph and Melanie Molnar, Lilian ODonnell, Grady ODonnell, Lucas Rasmussen, and Grace Brandes. Dorothy was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Danville. She worked for the City of Danville for 24 years as secretary to David Palmer, Danville Mayor, Raland Craig, and Danville Comptroller, Dick Wallace. Dorothy enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, being active with church activities, and spending time with her family. Dorothy, along with her husband, John were members of the Bridge Club for 30 years.
