Dorothy Helen Hudson

DOROTHY HELEN HUDSON Dorothy Helen Hudson was born December 3, 1920 in Vermilion County, the daughter of Roy Christopher and Ruth Ellen (Hill) Hudson. She is survived by her son, Craig Alan (Cheryl) Hudson, and her brother, Lawrence Warren Hudson. Also by two nephews, Dean Hudson (Phyllis) and Gary (Alvena) Hudson, 2 great nieces and 4 great nephews, and 6 great great nieces and 3 great great nephews. She was preceded by her parents, brother, Fred Roy Hudson, and sisters Marjorie Marie Hudson and Opal Mae Hudson. She worked at Gasdoffs until it closed and then at the Danville VA until her retirement. She enjoyed her two cats, Buster and Whity. She was a Cubs, Bears, and Illini fan and enjoyed watching them play. Dorothy loved craftwork and ceramic painting. She was a member of the Henning Craft Club, Henning Senior Citizens, BPW, NARF, Danville Redbud China Art Guild and the Illinois branch of the World Organization of China Painters. Visitation for Dorothy will be October 30,2013 from 12:30 to 2:30 with a service at 2:30, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville , A Life Celebration Center burial to follow at Potomac Cemetery in Potomac.
