Dorothy lived on the farm all her life. Being a farmers daughter and then a farmers wife she knew what hard work was. After the milking was done, she would make her own butter and use the buttermilk to make her famous chocolate sheet cake. Her family expected her chocolate cake at all the family gatherings. She loved to walk in the woods and hunt mushrooms in the spring. She enjoyed camping and sitting around the fire at wiener roasts. Her hobbies were reading, crocheting, needle work, baking, cooking, rummage and craft sales.
A special thank you to Pat of Harbor Lights Hospice and all the staff at Hawthorne Inn who provided Dorothy with wonderful care. She loved her family and the family gatherings brought her such joy. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
