Dorothy 'Dottie' Jameson

Dorothy E. (Dottie) Jameson, 87, of Danville IL., passed away at 9:15 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Danville Care Center in Danville IL. The daughter of Lee J. and Nellie (Carpenter) Staley, she was born on July 28, 1926 in Armstrong IL. She married Nick Jameson and he preceded her in death in 1992. Dottie is survived by her daughter Karen (Junior) Reese and step son Jimmy (Pam) Jameson; grandchildren - Dennis (Cheri) Powell, Tammy (Andy Rearick) Gunter, Chad (Nikki) Powell, Kevin (Cindy) Reese and Kim (Chris) Day; and great-grandchildren - Chelsea (Jeremy) Stout, Cody Gunter, Madison Rearick, Lexie Downs, Mason Powell, Brandon, Mackenzie, Isabella Day, Jack and Gabe Reese. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and daughter Patricia (Pattie) Powell. A graduate of Armstrong High School, Dottie went on to work for and then retire from Tee-Pak. She was a long time member of Second Church of Christ in Danville. She enjoyed listening to music with people she loved, camping and fishing with her husband, reading a good book and spending as much time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as possible. A celebration of Dotties life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville IL. with Pastor Drew Mentzer officiating and burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
