Dorothy 'Dort' K. Dunagan

Danville- Dorothy "Dort" K. Dunagan of Danville passed away peacefully at 11:10 AM on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital. She was born on November 28, 1947 in Danville, IL to Norman W. and Florence J. (Glaspy) VanCamp. She married Arvel G. Dunagan on August 25, 1973. She is survived by three children; Janet (JR) Sidwell of Westville, Andie (James Jr.) Baum of Danville and Billy Vance of Danville. Six grandchildren; Jessica Creviston of Danville, Ashlee (Donald) Mullinex of Concord, NC, Heather (Dustin) Doan of Cayuga, IN, Danielle Valatka of Nashville, TN, Miranda Vance of South Indianapolis, IN and Dalton Vance of Cleveland Georgia. Six great grandchildren; Chloe and Kipson Doan, Liem and Emerson Mullinex, Brantley Carico and Jack Bright. Two sisters, Janet Hastings and Cheryl Dokey, one brother, Larry VanCamp and several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Sue Weir. She was preceded in death by her husband Arvel G. Dunagan, daughter, Teresa Marie Vance, parents Norman and Florence VanCamp, sister, Donna McGrew, brother, Charles VanCamp and a granddaughter Trista Jo Sidwell. Dort was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing euchre, dancing, listening to music, spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. A celebration of Dort's life will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Phil McGarvey officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Johnson Cemetery.
