Dorothy Doggett

Dorothy L. Doggett, 75, of Georgetown passed away at 4:07 a.m. Thursday July 15, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born on November 11, 1928 in Sidell, IL the daughter of Joseph and Eva M. Lewis Castleberry. She married Robert M. Doggett on June 15, 1947 in Danville, IL. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1988. Survivors include: three sons, Robert M. Doggett III of Georgetown, Paul W. (Cindy) Doggett of Ridge Farm, and Keith A. Doggett of Georgetown; a daughter in law, Diane Doggett of Westville; a sister, Mary Jo Williams of Georgetown; grandchildren, Sean (Sandi) Doggett of Ridge Farm, Staci (Wylie) McIntosh of Covington, IN, Jami (Andy) Peevler of Denver, CO., Joe (Angela) Doggett of Homer, Kathy (Tim) Andrews of Fairmount, Emily Doggett of Ridge Farm, Jason (Jill) Doggett of Georgetown, Kevin Doggett of Westville, and Kerry Doggett of Westville; fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Ken Doggett, daughter in law Carla S. Doggett, two brothers and two sisters. Dorothy ran a foster home for veterans for thirty-five years before retiring in 2001. She was member of the Post 203 Women's Auxiliary and was an avid reader.
