Dorothy Lynn Brown, 80, of Veedersburg, Indiana, formerly of Danville, passed away at 11:55 est Monday, August 20, 2007 at St. Vincents Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana. Dorothy was born on January 13, 1927 in Danville, the daughter of Noah and Edith (Cunningham) White. She married Leland Brown on December 4, 1943 in Bismarck. He preceded her in death in July of 1998. She is survived by her two sons- Lauren (Rita) Brown of Veedersburg, Indiana and Mark Allen (Linda) Brown of Tucson, Arizona; two daughters- Sandy (Lynn) Lathrop of Loxahatchee, Florida and Lorie Dickinson of Hilliard, Florida; one brother- Larry (Sue) White of Danville; two sisters- Frieda Mae Jarling of Rockville, Indiana and Betty Hale of Princeton, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son- Merril Gene Brown, two sisters- Bonnie Stewart and Arthena White, three half-brothers- Cecil White, Floyd White, and Carl White and two half-sisters- Zoe Meidel and Louise Atwood. Dorothy attended Henning High School. She worked at R & S Printing for several years, until she retired in 1986. She was a member of Old Union Church in Danville. Dorothy was a life member of the Graphic Communications International Union. She enjoyed playing yatzee, crocheting, going to rummage sales, and spending her time with family and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Dorothy Lynn Brown will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Paul Ziebart officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Johnson Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
