Dorothy Bennett

Dorothy E. Bennett, 91, of Tilton, passed away at 8:52am on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Colonial Manor in Danville. She was born on September 3, 1926 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Clarence & Edna (Stacey) Kilby. She was united in married to Donald J. Bennett Sr. for 71 years, he survives. She will be dearly missed by son, Donald (Cindi) Bennett Jr; daughter, Sandra (Ron) Woods; grandchildren, Nikki L. Schoolcraft, Melissa Holst, Chad C. Schoolcraft, Jennifer (Randy) Shuman & Dawn Ann (Mike) Pricer; great grandchildren, Whitney Holst, Madisen Holst, Brayton Shuman, Blaise Shuman, Zane LaBonte, Reid Pricer & Jake Pricer; great great grandson, Owen Jones. Dorothy was Preceded in death by her parents, sister & brother. Dorothy worked at General Electric for 17 years. She was a member at United Methodist Union Corner Church. Dorothy loved sewing, quilting, spending the winters in Florida & spending time with her family. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermillion, Danville. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am Prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.
