Dorothy Arlene High

Hoopeston Dorothy Arlene (Johnson) High, 98, passed away on December 26, 2022 at Heritage Health of Hoopeston, IL. She was born on March 10, 1924 in Malta, MT to Dean and Grace (Elgin) Johnson. Dorothy married Lawrence (Red) High on April 5, 1947 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death in March 2003.

Dorothy is survived by her children Bonnie (Larry) Messmore and Lee (Cheri) High; grandchildren Shelly (Chris) Hunt, Ryan (Jana) Messmore, Tori (Jason) Hill, and John (Hannah) High; great-grandchildren Ethan (Shelby) Hunt, Lauren Hunt, Rylynn Penrod, Jack Messmore, Emma Messmore, Emerie Hill, Lincoln High, and Adeline High. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters-in-law.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, Illinois, 61834. There will be no services. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothys name to the organization of the donors choice.
