Heaven rejoiced on January 25, 2016 as Doris R. Wilson, 92 of Danville, escaped the bonds of earth and death and headed off to her eternal reward. Doris was born December 27, 1923, in rural Danville, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Johnson) Ashcraft. She married Marion C. "Pat" Wilson on March 17, 1943. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2004. Also preceding Doris in death were her parents, her daughter; Cheryl June Holley-Cline, her son-in-law, Russ Enyeart, grandchildren; Brian Goble and William Enyeart, and brother, Earl Raymond Ashcraft. Surviving Doris are her three daughters; Norma (Keith) Goble, of Danville, Patty (Dennis) Young, of Acworth, GA and Betty Enyeart, of Danville; six grandchildren; Tom (Angel) Holley , Cyndi (Brad) Johnson, Michelle Ritzma, Daniel (Catalina) Young, Tricia (Steven) Gardner, David (Lacey) Enyeart; seventeen great-grandchildren; Amanda (Dustin) White, Jason (Haylee) Ritzma, Kaylee (Taylor) Urban, Matthew, Johnathan and Ethan Gardner, Juan and Abraham Young, Logan Holley, Charles Bennett, Eddie Jay Johnson, JR, Andy, Kaylyn Clayburn, Daphnee, Liam and Delanee Enyeart, and Katarina Johnson; two great-great grandchildren; Jaden Ritzma and Adelynn White; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Doris was a 1941 graduate of Henning High School, she worked as a secretary for various businesses and was a home maker. She was a true servant for Jesus Christ, she always put Jesus first, others second and herself last, she was very giving and didn't expect to receive in return. A celebration of Doris' life will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 10:00 am, with Chaplain Dennis Young officiating. Burial will follow at Gordon Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4-7 pm. Memorials may be made in Doris' name to the American Heart Association.
