Doris R. Milius, 79, of Bismarck, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 6:15 AM at Williamsport Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born March 14, 1936 in Danville, the daughter of Garlan and Ruth (Clapp) Roderick. Doris married Leo J. Milius on September 1, 1953 in Rantoul, IL. He will miss her dearly. She will also be dearly missed by her children, David (Laura) Milius of Flower Mound, TX., Karen (Dick) Taylor of West Lebanon, IN., Spring Noah of Chicago, Barb (Ken) Miller of Danville, Debra (Dean) Chew of Covington, IN; one brother, John (Ruth) Roderick of St. Joseph; one sister, JoAnn Clutter of Terra Haute, IN; eleven grandchildren, Shilynn (David) Darner of Williamsport, IN., Rob (Cassy) Ludwig of Jeffersonville, IN, Ryan (Michelle) Ludwig of Indianapolis, IN, Cole Miller of Ann Abor, MI, Cody Miller of Danville, Emily Milius of TX, Bethany (Zack Jumps) Chew of Covington, IN, Mary (Jake) Oberg of Houston, TX, Michael Milius of Flower Mound, TX, Riley Chew of Covington, IN, Anna Milius of Flower Mound, TX; 16 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Sharon Tison of Fairmount. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Cathy, one son, Wayne and one brother in-law, Bill Clutter. Doris graduated from Bismarck High School in 1952 and lived at Chanute Airforce Base in Rantoul when she and Leo were first married. Doris was a well-known Realtor/Broker in the Danville area, and took pride for being voted Realtor of the Year. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. Doris enjoyed her lake house at Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, and sharing it with all her family. Doris was a wonderful cook and mother to her family and many foster children over the years. Most of all she simply loved spending time with her family. A celebration of Doris's life will be held at 10:00am Monday February 29, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1930 N. Bowman Ave in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Heidle. She will be laid to rest at Walnut Corner Cemetery in Danville. Visitation for family and friends will be 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday February 28, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home &Cremation Center.
